Mayor Cherelle Parker says 13-week, citywide clean-up effort is on track to meet its goals this summer

  • Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker’s program to “deep clean” the city is in its fourth week, and she says it’s on track to clean every block by the end of August. KYW’s City Hall bureau chief Pat Loeb has more.
  • The 51-year-old Bucks County woman convicted of killing her boyfriend and business partner in March 2022, then keeping his body in the bedroom for nearly two weeks, is sentenced to at least 18 years in prison. KYW Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert reports.
  • Nearly 23,000 children in the School District of Philadelphia started summer school  on Tuesday. KYW education reporter Mike DeNardo has more.
  • As LGBTQ Pride Month comes to an end, a local organization is shining a light on June 27, which is National HIV Testing Day. KYW's Shara Dae Howard reports experts are encouraging people to simply get tested in an effort to reduce new cases across the country.
