  • Electricians union president Brian Burrows was sentenced Wednesday to spend four years behind bars. He was convicted in December, along with union business manager John Dougherty. Burrows was found guilty of conspiracy, along with 13 counts of embezzlement and several other offenses over the illegal use of nearly $400,000 in union funds to repair his and Dougherty's homes, plus commercial properties they owned. Dougherty was found guilty on 33 counts of embezzlement and 24 counts of wire fraud. His sentencing is scheduled for July 11.
  • With the U.S. Surgeon General declaring gun violence a public health crisis this week, the Pennsylvania chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics hosted an online community forum on strategies to prevent child firearm injury and suicide.  KYW's John McDevitt reports.
  • Reality TV star Bam Margera has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in a Chester County courtroom. The plea deal ends a saga that began last year when the "Jackass" star was charged with assaulting his brother at their West Chester home, called "Castle Bam." Jess Margera testified at today's hearing, saying his brother had been awake for days leading up to their altercation. Margera will spend six months on probation. His attorney says the former skateboarder is now sober more than a year after his arrest.
  • The city and school district are preparing to announce a pilot of at least 20 schools taking part in a year-round pilot of extended-day programming. We get the story from KYW education reporter Mike DeNardo,
