A Wilmington man is being held on murder charges in connection with Wednesday's minivan crash in Delaware that killed a woman and her daughter.


Authorities say 49-year-old Anthony Friel was asleep in his car at a traffic light around 10 a.m. When officers approached the vehicle to check his status, he drove off through a barricade and onto the boardwalk at Arkansas Avenue.
New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin has issued new guidelines for police to improve outcomes of barricade situations.
The bivalve mollusks are making a comeback in the Delaware River.
