A fire burned through five homes in Kensington early Friday morning. Firefighters found an elderly woman dead inside the home where the blaze started.
Anti-gun violence groups had an emergency meeting Thursday night in Philadelphia in response to several shootings in the city this week and with school set to start in just days. 
With thousands of Philly students expected to ride SEPTA to school starting next week, the transit agency is launching a special police unit to try to make its buses and trolleys safer.
A mural program in Delaware County is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a special unveiling this weekend.
For the third time this season, the Phillies dropped a series to the Braves. They lost 3-2 last night in Atlanta.


The Philadelphia Eagles acquired wide receiver Jahan Dotson and a fifth-round pick in the 2025 draft from the Washington Commanders for a third-round pick and two seventh-round picks from the 2025 draft in a rare deal between the NFC East rivals.
