• A fire in a New York City e-bike repair shop last week killed four people and raised the alarm about the dangers of exploding lithium-ion batteries. However, Philadelphia cycling advocates say it’s unlikely to be a problem here.
• New Jersey’s budget is due at the end of the week, and after the agreement on property tax relief for seniors, it appears there will be no issues with passing it. However, experts say the state needs to get better at planning ahead rather than doing the budget one year at a time.
• Today marks the first weekday morning commute in two weeks that I-95 is fully open. There was a big party Sunday for all of the contractors, first responders and union laborers to celebrate their quick work.
