City officials leave community meeting about proposed Old City bus terminal before attendees could voice their concerns

A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged in connection with an early morning shooting Thursday that left one woman dead and another woman wounded near a jetty in Atlantic City. KYW’s John McDevitt reports.
A man convicted of attempted murder for shooting a cop twice during a West Philadelphia traffic stop last year will spend 22 to 44 years behind bars. KYW’s Conner Barkon reports it was an emotional day in court for the sentencing of Eric Haynes.
The parents of the 8-year-old boy who died of an overdose of fentanyl and cocaine last summer in Chester County are ordered to stand trial on murder and manslaughter charges. KYW Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert reports from Coatesville.
Philadelphia police say they're working on a few new strategies as they try to prevent illegal car meet-ups that disrupt traffic. Deputy Police Commissioner James Kelly didn't disclose details, but he told reporters Thursday the department was devising some new tactics to respond to drivers who take over city streets.
Single-ride passes are returning to Philadelphia's bike-share program. KYW's Mike DeNardo reports.

A helicopter made an emergency landing overnight in the middle of a pier in South Philadelphia, right next to the SS United States on the Delaware River.


More than eight months after first announcing plans to merge, Jefferson Health and the Lehigh Valley Health Network are forming a combined network employing more than 65,000 people in southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey.
A man was shot and killed in his Jeep in North Philadelphia early Friday morning. Police said someone fired into the man’s SUV at least 10 times.
The Phillies are out west hoping to get their season back on track.

Jefferson officially merges with Lehigh Valley Health Network

Pennsylvania Superior Court has reinstated a third-degree murder charge against a bouncer accused of fatally punching a man outside of a Center City bar, the District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.
A Bucks County judge has determined that the 32-year-old man accused of killing and beheading his father in their Levittown home, then posting a lengthy video to YouTube calling his militia to arms, is mentally competent to stand trial.
Speeders and red-light runners, beware. Police have taken note that, since the start of the pandemic, more drivers are ignoring the rules of the road, and they will be cracking down this month along two busy stretches in the southwest and northeast parts of the city.


Several businesses in the city of Chester are getting part of a $2 million facelift to help boost the look and economy of downtown.
