The UC Berkeley Physicist Behind The Wetsuit

The guy most often credited with inventing the first wetsuit is Jack O’Neil. He sold it out of one of the nation’s first surf shops near Ocean Beach in San Francisco. But many people don’t know that a physicist at UC Berkeley had a big role to play in the wetsuit’s early invention, too. KQED’s Gabriela Glueck looked into this for our podcast, Bay Curious.
