Outgoing Cal State President Gets Transition Pay After Harassment Settlement

A California State University president at the center of a multi-million dollar harassment lawsuit…is set to earn a six-figure salary this coming year while he’s in between Cal State jobs. The Cal State Chancellor announced the transition package for outgoing Cal State San Bernardino president Tomás Morales at a board meeting Wednesday. Cal State recently settled a lawsuit that included allegations that Morales routinely harassed and acted aggressively towards female Cal State employees. Reporter Phoebe Huss with CalMatters’ College Journalism Network has been covering the story.
