It's morning edition on KQED. I'm Brian Watt. The Park Fire burning northeast of Chico has destroyed nearly 277 structures so far, and a significant portion of those are single family homes according to Cal Fire. As firefighters gain ground on the fire, evacuation orders are starting to lift, and some residents have been allowed back home.
