Does the Kamala Harris campaign run the risk of being too hip, too appealing to younger voters?

View descriptionShare

Vice President Kamala Harris has seen a surge of support from younger voters since she joined the presidential race.

And once British pop star Charli xCx declared that Harris "IS brat" ... a reference to her new smash hit summer album ... the Harris campaign embraced the endorsement, the Gen Z love ... AND all of the internet memes ... that came along with it.

While having young voters in her corner will help, does Kamala Harris risk becoming seen as too viral and too associated with pop culture?

KNX chief correspondent Charles Feldman talked with Kurt Bardella.  He was a Republican strategist and congressional staffer who's since crossed over and now advises the Democratic National Committee.  Charles asked Kurt whether the Harris campaign has been too eager to be a hip campaign.

In the latest polling, Vice President Harris has opened up a 20-point lead over Donald Trump among voters aged 18 to 34.
