This week on The Sports Leader, the conversation takes a turn from the world of sports to the future of our planet. Joining the show is Ze-Kun Lee, the executive director of Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action, a nonprofit empowering teens and young adults to combat climate change through policy and education initiatives.

In this episode, Ze shares the organization's mission to develop the next generation of leaders and civic leaders who can make a real difference in their communities. From the devastating effects of climate change in the Bay Area to the importance of community involvement, Z highlights the need for collective action. The conversation also touches on the organization's current projects, including a Bring Your Own Cup campaign aimed at reducing single-use plastic cups.

As a parent, you might be wondering how you can support your child's interest in climate change and community service. Ze offers practical advice on how to get involved with Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action, from peer-to-peer mentorship to donating to the cause.
