US Attorney Pirro To Appeals Judge Ruling 

A federal judge struck down DOJ subpoenas targeting Fed Chair Jerome Powell over alleged misuse of funds tied to a $2.5 billion building renovation, calling them a pretext to pressure him on interest rates. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro strongly condemned the decision as “wrong and without legal authority” and confirmed the Department of Justice will appeal the ruling.

President Donald Trump said he’d agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran on Tuesday, less than two hours before his 8 p.m. deadline to destroy a “whole civilization.” 

President Donald Trump has set an 8 p.m. ET deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or else the U.S. will begin targeting the nation's power plants and bridges Tuesday. Iran has rejected proposals put forward by the U.S., and Trump in turn shut down a 10-point plan from Tehran on Monday, saying it was "not good enough."

Fresno Unified is considering whether to remove all references to César Chávez from district schools and facilities. The debate has sparked strong reactions, with supporters calling it an erasure of civil‑rights history and critics questioning Chávez’s legacy and whether schools should honor controversial figures. 

The district launched its audit on retirees’ dependents amid a network dispute that temporarily disrupted health care services for thousands of retirees and their dependents. Retirees last month filed a class-action lawsuit against the district over healthcare plan changes in 2023 they say diluted their benefits.
