U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper on Wednesday ordered the center’s board of trustees to file updates about the tarp-covered scaffolding and the center’s plans for maintaining operations and arts programming after July 5, the date it had intended to close for two years of renovations. 

Sacramento is moving into a new phase of legal cannabis after the City Council approved a five-year pilot program allowing on-site consumption lounges at licensed dispensaries.

Slate Auto, a Michigan-based carmaker is racing to begin production later this year of its first model: an overtly spartan, compact truck that will start at $24,950. Buyers have eight new models to choose from under $25,000, with automakers warning that it is difficult, if not impossible, to turn a meaningful profit on such vehicles.

One pertains to the Central Coast field office, affecting Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Merced, Monterey, San Benito, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and San Joaquin counties. 

Google's YouTube has settled a social media addiction case brought by a 15-year-old in Florida who accused the platform of causing mental health harms to children, according to the plaintiff's lawyers. The terms of the settlement in the state court lawsuit against the social media giant were confidential.
