Amazon has an "About You" page that provides a snapshot of interests and preferences inferred from your activity, and many users are only now discovering how much information is included in it. 

Walmart says the investment is aimed at helping the company keep pace with growing e-commerce demand while lowering long-term operating costs. Walmart is transforming its supply chain with large-scale warehouse automation, betting that robots and AI will make deliveries faster, inventory more accurate, and operations more efficient. 

If a Waffle House closes during a hurricane, it's often a sign the storm has caused significant damage. That's why emergency managers jokingly but seriously use the "Waffle House Index" as a real-world measure of storm severity.

Denmark is moving to become one of the first countries to give people explicit legal protection against unauthorized AI deepfakes, making it harder to share realistic AI-generated content depicting someone without their permission. 

In this CNET opinion piece, the author argues that people should continue using the term "artificial intelligence" rather than adopting the Trump administration's preferred term,"super intelligence." 

One U.S. school district has made a dramatic shift from restricting AI tools to actively incorporating them into classrooms and instruction. School leaders reportedly concluded that AI is becoming too important to ignore and that students will need to understand how to use the technology responsibly in college and the workforce.

The vote comes amid ongoing debate over the future of California's high-speed rail project, which has faced repeated schedule changes, rising costs, and warnings about future funding shortfalls. California's high-speed rail board is continuing to move the project forward with new contracts, even as lawmakers and watchdogs raise concerns about how the state will pay for the project's remaining costs. 

A search warrant was executed at the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota as part of an ongoing federal investigation. The search drew immediate national attention given Omar's prominence in Congress and does not mean charges will necessarily be filed. Federal investigations can continue for months before prosecutors decide whether to bring a case.
