Fresno County has settled a wrongful-termination lawsuit brought by a former aide connected to Supervisor Garry Bredefeld's office. The agreement ends the legal dispute without a trial, while allowing the county to continue denying wrongdoing.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is looking to identify and find a battery suspect who attacked a Dutch Bros employee on October 14 off Cedar and Clinton avenues in Central Fresno. Deputies describe the woman as in her 30s, approximately 5'6" - 5'8" with a medium build, wearing a white T-shirt, gray sweatpants and blue sneakers.

A well-known UK celebrity is seeking to keep his identity hidden while contesting serious sexual-misconduct allegations. He denies the claims, while news organizations argue the allegations should be reported publicly. A judge is expected to decide soon whether the celebrity's anonymity will continue.

As food prices remain elevated, Walmart is marketing a one-click holiday dinner package that feeds 10 people for $35, featuring a turkey and the traditional side dishes needed for a Thanksgiving- or Christmas-style meal. The retailer says it's the best value holiday basket it has offered to date.

More than 10 teachers at Tehipite Middle School have accused Principal Shannon West of serious misconduct, including drinking on the job, inappropriate relationships with staff, and fostering an unhealthy workplace culture. The allegations remain under investigation, no findings have been issued, and the principal remains on paid leave while Fresno Unified continues its review.

A major challenge facing Fresno Unified: declining enrollment and shrinking budgets. While candidates differ on whether closures may eventually be necessary, most who responded stressed that any decision should involve public input, transparency, and a broader plan to keep families in the district. Three candidates, including incumbents, declined to answer questions on the issue.
