Peter Cullen, the legendary voice actor best known as the voice of Optimus Prime in the Transformers franchise, has died at age 85. TMZ reported that Cullen died on August 26, 2026, at his home in Los Angeles. His agent confirmed the death, though a cause of death was not immediately disclosed. 

A catastrophic flood disaster along the Nepal-China border in the Himalayas has left more than 1,400 people missing and at least 380 to 390 people dead, making it one of the region's worst natural disasters in recent years. Authorities believe the flooding was likely triggered by a glacier collapse or ice-and-rock avalanche high in the mountains.
