Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Alberto Carvalho has submitted his resignation to the district and members of the Board of Education. “It has been a great honor to serve you,” Carvalho wrote in a resignation letter addressed to students, families, teachers and staff. He added that he stepped down to allow schools to remain focused on students and learning “without distraction.”
