American Airlines is temporarily suspending some summer routes. The main reason is high jet fuel costs tied to global conflict. The changes are short‑term and part of a bigger industry trend. Travelers may see fewer flights and higher prices, but alternatives are available. 

DeSantis wants to cut or eliminate property taxes for many Florida homeowners. To make up for lost revenue, he suggests leaning more on wealthy and non-resident property owners. That messaging sounds like a “tax the rich” argument, which is why critics compare it to Mamdani, but it’s still a tax-cut plan overall, not a broad tax increase.
