Choudri has been on leave since Tuesday after reports revealed he was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence. Prosecutors say they won’t file charges due to a lack of evidence, and Folsom police are withholding further details because a juvenile was involved.

President Donald Trump said he’d agreed to a two-week ceasefire with Iran on Tuesday, less than two hours before his 8 p.m. deadline to destroy a “whole civilization.”

The debate has sparked strong reactions, with supporters calling it an erasure of civil‑rights history and critics questioning Chávez’s legacy and whether schools should honor controversial figures. 

The district launched its audit on retirees’ dependents amid a network dispute that temporarily disrupted health care services for thousands of retirees and their dependents. Retirees last month filed a class-action lawsuit against the district over healthcare plan changes in 2023 they say diluted their benefits.
