Gov. Gavin Newsom confirmed Thursday that the investigation into California High‑Speed Rail CEO Ian Choudri will also look at new conflict‑of‑interest concerns that have surfaced following his recent arrest. Choudri has been on leave since Tuesday after reports revealed he was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence. Prosecutors say they won’t file charges due to a lack of evidence, and Folsom police are withholding further details because a juvenile was involved.
