IMMIGRATION: Reports of Increased ICE Activity In The Valley

Denmark Ban Deepfakes

Not The Same Thing As "Super Intelligence"

School District Reverses Course On AI

Denmark is moving to become one of the first countries to give people explicit legal protection against unauthorized AI deepfakes, making it harder to share realistic AI-generated content depicting someone without their permission.

In this CNET opinion piece, the author argues that people should continue using the term "artificial intelligence" rather than adopting the Trump administration's preferred term,"super intelligence."

One U.S. school district has made a dramatic shift from restricting AI tools to actively incorporating them into classrooms and instruction. School leaders reportedly concluded that AI is becoming too important to ignore and that students will need to understand how to use the technology responsibly in college and the workforce.

TECH: AI's New Name, Deepfake Bans & School Restrictions

Board Approves Major Contracts

Agents Search Rep. Ilhan Omar's Home

The vote comes amid ongoing debate over the future of California's high-speed rail project, which has faced repeated schedule changes, rising costs, and warnings about future funding shortfalls. California's high-speed rail board is continuing to move the project forward with new contracts, even as lawmakers and watchdogs raise concerns about how the state will pay for the project's remaining costs.

A search warrant was executed at the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota as part of an ongoing federal investigation. The search drew immediate national attention given Omar's prominence in Congress and does not mean charges will necessarily be filed. Federal investigations can continue for months before prosecutors decide whether to bring a case.

HIGH-SPEED RAIL: Board Approves Major Contracts Despite Concerns

The Daily Buzz Question

Fresno Fair Debunks ICE Rumors

Fresno Police and ICE Clash

Should Americans be able to watch the execution of convicted Fort Hood terrorist Nidal Hasan online?

Officials with the Big Fresno Fair are pushing back against online claims of ICE activity at the fairgrounds, saying the rumors were based on false information and AI-generated images.

Fresno police reportedly refused ICE requests to release an arrested off-duty agent, creating a rare public clash between local and federal law-enforcement authorities as the criminal case moves forward.
