Health Officials Monitoring Farmworkers Exposed to Measles

View descriptionShare

Two Central Valley Republicans, Ali Macedo and David Tangipa, are now leading the Assembly GOP. Is that good news for the Valley?

Health officials in the Central Valley are monitoring approximately 140 farmworkers who recently traveled from Arizona to California after being exposed to measles during an outbreak in Arizona. The workers have relocated to Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties, where public health agencies are tracking them for symptoms.

Two Central Valley state lawmakers have introduced legislation that would require Fresno County to put a Measure C replacement before voters this November, reviving an effort that appeared stalled after action by the Fresno County Board of Supervisors.
