Fresno Unified is preparing to vote on cutting around 200 jobs as the district faces a $77 million budget shortfall, with another $59 million deficit projected next year. The proposed cuts affecting positions such as preschool teachers, counselors, nurses, and campus safety staff stem from declining enrollment and low attendance, according to district leaders.
