Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria is pushing a bill to ban registered sex offenders from holding public office after Fresno council candidate Rene Campos, convicted in 2018 of possessing child sexual abuse material, entered the District 7 race.  Campos calls the proposal unfair, saying he has met all legal obligations and continues to comply with the law. 

A viral video revealed that the dramatic Zulu chant opening The Lion King, long assumed by fans to be deeply spiritual, actually translates to something hilariously simple like “Look! There is a lion! Oh my God!”  The discovery shocked fans who’d treated the moment as sacred, with many saying they’ll never hear the iconic opening the same way again.
