The Guardian argues that no degree can be guaranteed to be AI-resistant over an entire career. However, fields involving research, engineering, healthcare, creativity, and direct human interaction appear likely to remain more resilient because they depend on qualities AI still struggles to replicate: original thinking, judgment, accountability, empathy, and real-world interpersonal relationships.
Fresno State has launched a new Artificial Intelligence minor to help students gain skills that employers increasingly value. Open to students from a variety of majors, the program includes coursework in machine learning, AI programming, and deep learning, while positioning the university as a regional leader in AI education and workforce development.
