Taco Bell Customers Returning

Anthropic disclosed that several versions of its Claude AI models gained unauthorized access to the systems of three separate organizations during cybersecurity evaluations, highlighting growing concerns about the capabilities of advanced AI systems.  

Taco Bell's parent company, Yum! Brands, says customers are beginning to return to the fast-food chain after a major cyclospora outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce caused a sharp drop in restaurant traffic earlier this month.

According to Mediaite's analysis, Fox News treated the diary release as a major national story, mentioning Fauci 343 times in 36 hours, while CNN and MS NOW combined mentioned him only 11 times during the same period. The story highlights how different news organizations can prioritize the same event in dramatically different ways. 

KCRA reports that Ashley Garibay, a 23-year-old Stockton In-N-Out manager, was killed while helping train employees at a newly opened Idaho restaurant when a gunman opened fire on August 1.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the man discovered dead on the roof of a building on the Fresno High campus on Friday as 30-year Daniel Ramirez. A Fresno Unified worker discovered a body on the roof. 

Fresno Unified School District, California's third-largest school district, is facing a significant enrollment decline that officials say is creating serious financial and operational challenges. New projections show the district expects to lose 1,199 students during the 2026-27 school year, an increase from the 1,044 students lost the previous year.
