Vinnyan Emery lived in the mountains with their family. It was a beautiful place filled with holy smokes, ginormous mountains, and these mountains you could see for miles and miles if you climbed to the top, and that is something that Vinni and Emery love to do, partially because it was super fun. And the other part was their grandparents lived on the other side of one of the mountains, and so when they wanted to go visit them, they had to get their hiking boots on and go on an adventure over the mountain. WHOA, that would be a cool way to go to grandma and Grandpa's house. Right, wow. I kind of wish that my grandparents lived on the other side of a mountain, and then I would have to climb it every time. That would be so awesome. Well, Vinny and Emery were just waking up one Saturday morning. Wait, is it time? Is today the day? Said Emery. They checked the calendar and sure enough, today was the day. It's Grandma's day. They loved going to the grandparents house, and today was a special day because it was baking day. Do you like to bake things? I love to bake cookies or cupcakes. Oh my goodness, I gotta stop talking about those things. I'm gonna want to eat them right now. Well, Vinnie and Emery race downstairs and ate their delicious breakfast, got on all their hiking gear, said goodbye to their parents, and off they started. This was a big adventure that always took a couple hours to climb over this big mountain to get to the other side to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house. All right, Vinnie said, Emery, which trail do you want to take this time? M hmm, Well, we've never done that one before, so let's do one. Yeah. There were a couple of different trails that connected Vinnie and Emery's house to their grandparents house, and they usually picked like these one, two or three trails, but there was this one trail that they had never gone on and always wanted to. It looked a little harder of an adventure, but today would be a great day for that. As they started hiking down this new trail, Vinnie saw something ahead that looked strange. Emery said, Vinnie, do you see those giant rocks up there? They grabbed their binoculars because it was really far away. Emery said, yeah, I do those look strange. I don't remember the mountains having such big boulders, said Emory. Well, Vinnie and Emery continued hiking. They did like climbing over rocks, and so they were kind of looking forward to getting to those big rocks up ahead. Vinnie, I, once we turned that corner, up there, we'll get a better look at those giant rocks. There was a bend in the trail just up ahead. As they were approaching, they turned the corner. And wait a second, where did those giant rocks go? Said Vinnie. And they looked all around and they remembered that is exactly where those giant boulders were, but somehow they had moved. Do you think they fell down the mountain? Said Vinny as he scratched his head. He was very confused, because boulders don't just up and run away, do they. I don't see anything down the mountain, said Emery. Out of nowhere, there was a giant cursed splat splat right next to Vinnie's shoe. You what is that? Shouted Vinny as he picked up his boot. And oh, it looks like a giant ball of slime. Got wait where did that come from? Vinny looked up in the sky and it was a clear day, and then all of a sudden, here comes another one. Chris flatt, Chris flat right over Emery's head. What is going on? Who's throwing those things of slime? He he he? What was that? Up ahead was a cave and inside that cave. There were creatures that looked like rocks. Wait a second, those rocks that Vinny and Emery had seen were actually not rocks. They were creatures that were camouflaged and now look out, shouted Vinny as he dove to the side with Emery. These creatures were throwing eggs filled with slime. They were mean creatures, laughing hysterically, he how are we gonna get past them? Shouted Emery. I don't know what are we gonna do. We can't get to Grandma and Grandpa's house completely covered in this slime. Dude, it's disgusting and it smells terrible too, said Vinnie. All Right, I have an idea, said Emory. Emery started grabbing some branches and sticks and leaves and thought, maybe, just maybe they could sneak past with camouflage. Do you know what camouflage is? Yes, We've talked about it quite a bit. Camouflage, Yes, is when you try to blend into your surroundings. So if they're in a forest, it would be a good idea. If they look like a bush, right, yeah, or a tree or a rock, kind of like those creatures. Well, Emery and Vinnie started to completely cover their clothes and backpacks in leaves and sticks and branches. They looked absolutely hilarious. Can you imagine trying to pretend to be a bush? Out That one hurts, said Vinnie as he shoved a branch up his sleeve. It's gonna be worth it, Vinnie said Emery. We just got to get past those ridiculous, silly slime monsters. All right, Let's try and go really slow and careful. They were completely covered in leaves and looked like a bush. As they slowly crawled through the forest. The slime monsters started to look around. They couldn't see Vinnie and Emery anywhere. They were getting very mad. Huh, that was the sound they were making. It sounds like a pretty angry sound. But they were just looking to throw more slimeballs. All right, we're getting closer. We just gotta get to this other ridge and then we'll be good to go, said Emery. Vinny and Emery carefully slid over the ridge. Show we made it, said Vinny. Emery. That was such a good idea. I can't believe we almost turned into giant slime balls. Grandma would have lost it and never let us come bake cookies. Today. I know, said Emery, that was insane. We gotta remember to never take this trail again, to stay away from those rock slime monsters. And that is the day that Vinnie and Emery took the new trail that they've never been on and got attacked by the giant rock slime monsters. If you were attacked by slime monsters that were throwing slimeballs at you, how would you escape it? Would you think to put on camouflage just like them? Yeah? I think that was a pretty good idea. Great job, Vinnie and Emery. I hope you guys having a great day baking delicious cookies, and please save one for me and make a smiley face on it. Well, friends, that is the end of today's adventure.
