About Mr. Jim:
Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Hey friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to kit Short Stories. I know we are about to jump into part two of this awesome adventure with Luca, but it's gonna be way more fun if you share this story with a friend. So if you think of two friends right now that your parents can text this episode and part one two, then you two can listen to it together, which will make this adventure ten times more awesome. Well, friends, are you ready to see if Luca is able to save that bigfoot from the dinosaur?
Me too, Let's go. As Luca raced back to his house to grab all of his spider gear and including his jetpack, he threw it over his back and off he blasted through. His jetpack was super duper fast, and it was important for him to always keep it clean so that it would stay fast.
You see those turbo boosters. You gotta clean him out every once in a while with some Q tips and uh maybe an old T shirt just to make sure that they're nice and squeaky clean so the air can fly through them super duper fast. As he was following the coordinates on his GPS, he was wondering what in the world kind of adventure he had been called into. Remember, he was going to save this bigfoot who used to be on the spy team. I guess his name's Biggie, who had somehow stumbled into a scenario where he is afraid of being eaten by a dinosaur, and it's up to Luca to somehow rescue Bigfoot from the dinosaur. Oh dear, that sounds like quite the adventure. Would you be able to handle that one? You see, when you're on the spy team, you have to be ready for, like, you just never know what kind of adventure that we're gonna call you into. Luca had been through any trainings, but none involving bigfoots and dinosaurs. So sometimes you just have to, you know, choose to be brave and just.
Go for it.
Well up ahead, he could see that he was getting very closer, because there it was this giant valley that had been surrounded by a whole bunch of mountains. It looked like almost like a bowl, like a mountain bowl, except instead of cereal being inside of this bowl, I guess there's a dinosaur and a bigfoot inside of this mountain bowl. He carefully touched down in the grassy field of this valley and started calling out for Biggie.
Big Ae.
Are you here. My name's Luca. I'm with the spy team. I heard you call for help, big A. His voice echoed throughout the hills. I guess if you're inside of a mountain bowl like that, it's very echoey. But off in the distance he heard the sound of Biggie.
I'm over behind these rocks, please come help me.
Remember, Biggie was pretty afraid. He had heard that giant, scary dinosaur voice in the cave up ahead, and had hid behind these rocks. I guess he hadn't even moved an inch. Hi, Biggie, Wow, you are pretty big. My name's Luca. I mean I was sent here to save you. They said something about a cave and a dinosaur. So can you tell me exactly what's going on? Okay, yeah, you see. I I had stumbled down to that hill there. My big feet got slippery in the mud. Squish, squish, squish, if you know what I mean, and I fell all the way down here. I've looked all around.
There's only one way in and one way out through that cave over there, and it's blocked by a very mean scary diner shan, And that's why I'm hiding here. I don't know what to do. Wow, it sounds like you've had a pretty challenging day, said Luca. You don't even know the half of it. You see. I was trying to drink my pine needle tea over there up on that hill, but a beaver and eat in my favorite branch that I like to sit on and sip my tea. So it's been a horrible day, to say the least, said Biggie.
Oh, I definitely understand having horrible days. Last Thursday, I had a horrible day, said Luca. I had made this awesome art project for school, and on my way there I accidentally dropped it right in a huge puddle. It was so frustrating. I had to clean it all up, and it was kind of embarrassing to show my art project with all this mud and water on it.
But you still or did it anyway, said Biggie. Yeah, I still did. What do you mean, Oh, I would have just run run for the heels and never showed my face again. That just sounds terrible. Oh well, yeah it is. It was terrible, but it's okay. You know, sometimes things don't always go our way and that's okay. Wow, you really are very brave. Okay, I believe you. You are brave enough to go talk to that dinosaur. Let's let's see what he says. But you first, you first. Biggie pointed ahead to the cave, and.
Luca realized that, Yeah, he had been brave with that art project before, but this just seemed a little bit different talking to a real dinosaur.
But he was gonna be brave anyway. All right, Biggie, just stay close behind and with me. Oh, I certainly, but you first, you first, Lucas said her started heading towards that cave up ahead. It was a very creepy looking cave, but thankfully it was more like a tunnel because he could see light and jungle on the other side of that cave.
They just needed to walk on through. But I think there was just a big misunderstanding with that giant dinosaur.
Is there. Oh my, I'm sorry to scare you. Please don't eat us. My name's Luca, and this is making the bank foot. We're both on the spy team. We're just oh, but why is he here? He's here just.
Steal all my food and my home from me, isn't he?
Oh no, no, no, he slipped on accident and fell down the side of that hill over there. Do you see all those skid marked on that mud in the side of the hill. The dinosaur peeked his head out from the cave and looked up at the side of the mountain. He was a very scary looking dinosaur.
He looked like he only had one eye, or maybe he just closed one of his eyes. I think he was trying to act like a pirate er.
Okay, by the looks of it, your story checks out. But why are you trying to walk inside of my cave?
Well, we're actually, I think, just trying to get through. You know how your cave is kind of more like a tunnel. Well, Biggie lives on the other side of that tunnel, in that forest over there.
M you don't say I didn't know that a ginormous furry beast lived over those hills.
Well I don't think he knew that a giant, scaly beast like you lived here.
I certainly did not. You see, this is all just a big whoopsie. I slipped, and now I need to get back home so I can drink my tea. You like to drink tea, said the dinosaur.
There's only one kind of tea that I like, Pine needle tea. That stuff is delicious.
Biggie the Bigfoot all of a sudden came out from behind Luca and said, sure, you mean you like pie needle tea too, That judge one is my favorite.
I've never seen a bigfoot as happy as Biggie was.
Right now. He thought that that dinosaur was trying to eat him, but it was all just a big misunderstanding, and once they were able to talk through it with the help of Luca, they discovered that they both loved the same kind of tea.
And even though this is the end of our story, this is actually the beginning of an amazing friendship between Biggie the Bigfoot and I actually didn't catch that dinosaur's name, but Biggie the Bigfoot and that ginormous, scary look at dinosaur they would actually become some tea drinking friends, all because of the bravery of Luca.
The end, great job, you listened all the way to the end, and you know what time it is.
It's time for kid show out.
I want to say hey to regard Gustin June from Seattle, Alexander from Washington, Madison from South Carolina, Walker from Barrington, Rhode Island, Cedar from Westchester, Ohio, Diane from Maine, Riker from Wheaton, Illinois, and Scottie and Whittaker from water Leo, Ontario. I'm so glad that you're all in the Kid Short Stories family and on the spy team. We could not stop Doctor Stinky Breath and his crew without you, my friends.
Will you have a souper do per day. I'll see you next time. Bye at
