Hello, friends, it's Mr Jim Welcome back to Kids Short Stories today. I'm so excited to continue this adventure with Bernie the Fire Breathing Dragon. Well, are you guys ready for today's amazing adventure of Everett and Bernie and the Fire Breathing Dragon. Me too, Let's go. What's oh? Is that my spiky Peeper? Everett said as he raced upstairs. He hadn't heard his Spikey peeper off in a while, ever since Spike Kids Headquarters got frozen, so this must be really important. As he pushed play on the message, it said, Everett, this is very important. This is Spike Kids Headquarters underground. As you know, there's a very extreme situation that we're in where we're hiding underground to make Doctor Stinky Breath and the Purple Ninja just think that they've they've won in freezing headquarters, but we're way ahead of them. Um. But we need you on a really top secret mission. So if you could get to h Q A stap, we will see you soon, over and out. Oh my gosh, this has gotta be a just amazing, amazing Um, I don't even know. Okay, I gotta grab myself. Everett started running around, grabbing all of his Spike gear in his jet pack, because every Spike kid has all kinds of spy gear and even jet pack. Jet packs are super helpful in flying places super fast, so his was all charged up and ready to go. All right, let's go. Everett blasted off with his jet pack towards HQ. He couldn't stop imagining and thinking, what on earth could be? You know, what could be? This mission? And they want me? That is so awesome. As he started flying and flying through the clouds, he could see h Q Underground below. You see, the entrance to h Q Underground was in the middle of a forest that was next to h Q. And if you remember, h Q got completely frozen solid by Dr Stinky breath, and this mission is probably in regards to that, So let's get back to the story. As Everett carefully landed in the middle of the forest and entered the secret door in the middle of an oak tree, he walked downstairs and was greeted by headquarters. Ever, thank you for coming so quickly. You see, I'm sure you saw the ice upstairs. Uh, And so we're letting dr stinky breath in the Purple Ninjas think that they've won. Um. We're aware that they have the hard drive and they're trying to decrypt the encryption on it, but they do have all of our files there. So that is the one liability we have left. But the ice upstairs, we just haven't been able to melt. We've tried salt, we tried lava and fire. Nothing has worked. And so we've called one of our other agents out in the field to come and give us a hand. But we need you, uh to make sure that he stays safe. Oh absolutely, Um. Okay, So have I ever worked with this agent before? I don't think so. Uh have you ever met Bernie before? Bernie doesn't ring a bell. Oh yeah, Well, Bernie, he's a fire breathing dragon and he's he's going to be the our top asset for melting this ice. A fire breathing dragon. Everett couldn't believe it. Oh yeah, but don't worry. Bernie's a great guy. He's he's been around the force for a long time and and uh, he'll he'll be great. Just keep an eye out, uh to make sure there's no purple ninja's or you know, things going on. So he'll be here in just a couple of minutes. He'll meet you outside. Oh wow. Everett couldn't believe this top secret mission that they had given him. You see, no other spy kid was asked for this top secret mission, just Everett. It was Everett's job to somehow like, you know, protect and make sure everything was okay. Well, I guess this fire breathing Wait a second, did he think fire breathing dragon? Everett couldn't believe it, and he was a little nervous. But they did say he was nice, so okay, there he is. Everett saw up in the sky this dragon, which was a lot smaller than what he was thinking a dragon would be. It was about the size of a dog, and as it landed, he said, Hi, hi, Bernie, my name's Everett. Why hello there, h Everett, thank you for meeting me here? Oh? Hi? Um? And are you are you? You're nice? Right? Oh? I'm oh yeah, don't worry about me. If you're worried about my voice that's the price I pay for breathing fire through my throat. Oh my um, I wish I would have brought a cough drop. Would that have Do you do cough drops? Yeah? Cough drops help my voice a lot. But that's okay, all right, Well let's get to work. Um, Mr Bernie, Uh, how how is this going to work? Because they said, like they even tried lava and lava wouldn't melt the ice. Like, are you is your fire hotter than lava? Oh? Sorry about that? Oh? Yes, yes, absolutely, yeah. You see, in the pit of my stomach, I somehow accidentally swallowed a piece of the sun while I was flying around in space one day, I bumped into the sun and a piece of it got stuck in my tummy. And so now, oh, the fire that comes out of my mouth and my tummy is actually, you know, sunfire, which is quite a bit hotter than lava. Sunfire. That's so wow, that's incredible. Yeah, yes it is. And so let let's get to work and just just make sure that you know, you keep an eye out for the purple Ninjas and and everyone out there. Let's go Bernie, which some people call him the Burnenator, Bernie and Everett reached their positions, and Bernie walked over to the ice. You see this ice, which, if you remember, was used by Doctor Stinky Breath when he when he stole the magna who he he used his ice laser to shoot the headquarters, and then all this ice came in. And then this is not normal ice. Remember, this is like like some kind of crazy ice, and it's growing and expanding. And so now it's not just headquarters that's frozen. The whole area is starting to freeze. And oh no, I hope that like in time, that the whole world doesn't freeze if they're not able to get this in time. Okay, all right, sorry, I'm a little worried. Let's get back to the story. As Bernie started to shoot the sunfire out of his mouth, Everett was amazed at how well the fire was just pouring out of his mouth. Incredible. Oh yes, well, you stand back and just keep an eye out. Everett had a very important job. His job was to make sure that no Purple Ninjas or Dr Sinky Breath would mess this up. On the other side of HQ, there were two purple ninjas. All right, guys, what's going on. I smell I smell something very hot, kind of like fire. Did somebody too? No, no, Boss, I didn't do Okay, well, um, I definitely smell something. It's coming. Wait is that hand? Look at them? The Purple Ninjas have now seen Bernie melting the ice out. Now, Boss is not going to be happy about this. We've gotta I'll tell them that they're starting to mount the ice. Let's go on. As they were leaving, Everett saw them. Oh, Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, look, look, look, there's two Purple Ninjas. They're trying to get away. You've got to stop them. Don't let them escape. Everett started running and running as fast as he could, and he grabbed his net shooter out of his bag. He said, Purple Ninjas, freeze, I don't know he's coming, and he shot the net shooter right around both of the Purple Ninjas and he caught them. Run right, I don't now? Yes, wow, evert saved the day. They were gonna get away and tell Dr Stinky Breath, but he stopped them just in time. All right, hey, Bernie, how are you doing? Bernie? Oh? No, where Bernie go? Bernie the fire breathing dragon was now missing to be continued. Great job, you listened all the way to the end, and you know what time it is. It's time for kid shout ouh.
