Kidney Cast S2 E7

The IPRO ESRD Network Program presents "The Kidney Cast," a podcast hosted by Shezeena Andiappen, Patient Services Specialist with Dr. Robert Hoyt joining as co-host for this episode. The podcast is designed to educate and enlighten chronic kidney disease patients and healthcare professionals about news in clinical management, quality of life tips, and how the ESRD Network Program works to support them. In this episode, we’re honored to share the inspiring journey of an industrial-organizational psychologist, author, and transplant recipient whose life was profoundly changed by kidney failure. After years of living with diabetes, dialysis and the uncertainty of waiting for a transplant, he received a life-changing double kidney-pancreas transplant that gave him a second chance at life. In this powerful conversation, he reflects on the challenges of dialysis, the hope that carried him through difficult moments, the people who supported him along the way, and the gratitude and purpose he embraces today. His story is a reminder that even in life's hardest seasons, hope remains possible.
