Two years ago, right here on the Flash Drive, the Dis-Chem Foundation introduced us to an extraordinary, female-led NPO called COOKtastic. Today, we’re revisiting that story. Because what the Dis-Chem Foundation did for COOKtastic wasn’t about a once-off donation. It’s about what happened after… COOKtastic empowers young people from underserved communities by giving them the opportunity to train, work and build careers in the hospitality industry. Every year, more than 75 young people have their lives changed through this programme. And while they’re learning, the food they prepare doesn’t go to waste. It goes home with them.
