According to Heritage New Zealand, there are more than 2500 shipwrecks in New Zealand's marine and fresh waters.
Of those, only about 200 have been accurately located.
Bill Day is a shipwreck expert. He's spent 36 years searching for the wreck of the General Grant in the Auckland Islands and he joined Kerre Woodham.
