Keeping Kids Safe - A Bright Futures podcast for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation

Episode 1: Bruce and Denise Morcombe

This is the first episode of Keeping Kids Safe - A Bright Futures podcast by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, featuring Bruce and Denise Morcombe.

In this episode, host Nance Haxton speaks to Bruce and Denise about the Foundation they founded 18 years ago, and the ongoing work they're doing to prevent child sexual abuse. Bruce and Denise share insights about what they have learnt over this time and how they came to be working in the prevention of harmful sexual behaviours in children.

Their Bright Futures program aims to help parents and carers understand and navigate the challenging world of sexual abuse - what sexual abuse is, the behaviour and signs to be wary of, and how to respond if you're worried about this with children you know.

It's time for difficult conversations to shine light on this hidden topic. This podcast talks openly about child abuse, child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation and harmful sexual behaviours.

Each episode of this series will feature practical insights on how to teach your child safety in the world today.
