The role language played leading to the the January 6th insurrection.

There is a need to examine the quality of the rhetoric President Trump and his allies used to incite the rioters' actions when they stormed the Capitol on January 6th, 2021 in an effort to stop the Electoral College from confirming President Biden's victory in the 2020 election. 

Trump and his allies framed the Insurrection with incendiary language and called for an assault on a symbol of American Democracy, framing the rioters' actions as being glorified, dignified, and honorable.
