The Academy of Though and Industry, an independent, privately-owned school in San Francisco's Pacific Heights neighborhood, is shutting its doors.

And news of the closure, which was first reported by the Chronicle, came as a surprise to parents.

San Francisco parents scramble as a private school announced it's closure this fall

Yesterday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a former police officer charged with obstructing an official proceeding during the storming of the Capitol on January 6th 2020. 

This decision could affect ongoing cases related to the insurection including those of nearly 250 defendants and potentially former President Donald Trump's charges.
