Yesterday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a former police officer charged with obstructing an official proceeding during the storming of the Capitol on January 6th 2020. 

This decision could affect ongoing cases related to the insurection including those of nearly 250 defendants and potentially former President Donald Trump's charges.
