In a first in the nation move, Oregon is sending air conditioners and other appliances to Medicaid patients in low-income communities, as a way to mitigate the health risks from climate change.
With temperatures becoming more extreme, the health of many people across the nation is being affected, which is why the Biden Administration has been planning to expand Medicaid and include social services coverage.
