In efforts to raise the standards for safety measures, mandatory drug and alcohol testing for employees of aircraft repair shops in other countries could be a requirement if the Federal Aviation Administration's proposal goes through. Under that plan, foreign shops that perform certain safety-related work on planes would have to electronically submit employee test results to the U.S. Department of Transportation.
