It's a San Francisco landmark, the 12-story Flood Building, which has towered over the corner of Market and Powell Streets for more than a century.
The iconic building has survived its share of challenges over the years, including 2 earthquakes, economic booms-and-busts, and even a brush with demolition. Now it faces some of its toughest challenges yet, as the city struggles against high vacancy rates and a lawless reputation.
