All-in-one transit card currently being trialed in the Bay Area

View descriptionShare

If you're a frequent user of public transit in the Bay Area, perhaps you've wished for an all-in-one card that would let you transfer from light rail to buses to ferries and back - for free.

Though it sounds like a pipe dream, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission is piloting just that: an all-encompassing pass that gives riders access unlimited free rides to most of the region's 27 transit agencies.

To tell us more about the BayPass, KCBS Radio news anchor Holly Quan spoke to John Goodwin, spokesperson for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission.
