We're continuing our coverage of today's news that the five Memphis police officers allegedly responsible for the death of Tyre Nichols will be charged with second-degree murder, among other charges.

Nichols was violently arrested after being pulled over by officers near his home; he died earlier this month due to severe injuries sustained during the arrest. Attorneys who reviewed the police footage say Nichols was attacked and beaten in a way that is reminiscent of the infamous police beating of Rodney King. The footage is set to be made public tomorrow afternoon.
