Joey and Nancy talked about how hard Dolly Parton’s passing still feels because she was so active and present right up until the end. Nancy had a funny dream last night where Papa Joe used his one question with Dolly to ask if she’d ever used a pink porta potty. 

Joey shared a school project where his younger son said his favorite body part was his legs because they help him run fast and remind him of his dad. 

Hot Tea: Leanne Morgan appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and talked about raising her kids at Dollywood and Dolly’s impact on East Tennessee. The unreleased Dolly song stored in a DreamMore time capsule will remain sealed until 2045. Hersheypark apologized after a social media comment comparing itself to Dollywood upset fans. 

Joey admitted he got emotional after taking his almost-13-year-old son to school and realizing middle schoolers aren’t exactly big on hugs anymore. 

The show highlighted Dolly’s generosity, including the Buddy Program that boosted Sevier County graduation rates, Dollywood’s education benefits, and the hundreds of millions of books distributed through Imagination Library.

Nancy shared a church story about a woman who first thought she was her grandson’s mother, then quickly changed her opinion and decided Nancy was too old to be having a baby. 

The show wrapped up by talking about efforts to honor Dolly’s legacy, including a proposed Dolly Parton Day in Tennessee, renaming Nashville’s airport after her, and other ideas to keep her memory alive.
