On the Business front, my topic will be,  “ Great times for opportunistic investors right now.”

General script notes: (Not for publication)

There’s lots of consternation in the market right now and that has certain sellers of properties rather nervous and in a mode of - let’s get rid of these assets, even if we have to move them at fire sale prices. Many of them are good assets, but We all know howreal estate can be a timing business and their time is to unload!  for an investor looking for a great opportunity…which might be a buy and hold for 2 to 3 years, There’s some great deals out there.

October 30, 2026 10AM - It's Your Agri Business with Bill Zortman

October 30, 2026---9-10—It’s YOUR Business Show 53-82

From the Blackburn Studios in Downtown Sioux Falls---Welcome to our Final Friday---It’s YOUR Business---family friendly affair----

(((MUSIC---This OLE HOUSE---YEE HAH))))

I’m Bill Zortman and Yes It’s Finally here----our Final Friday----and we are happy to have you listening today----a day of history for me---as just before 11:00 this morning---I’ll bid you farewell after 53-83 shows.

Thanks for being a part of our journey thru the years---I’ll miss you but when I turned 80 on September 27th----I had been told---it was time. My wife Carolyn who is with me this morning---had been saying that before—so the deck was stacked----and let’s get started.

Jodi Schwan----has been our leader on Friday’s and is here this morning----Jodi thank you for the Jodi’s Journal story that was concise but so TRUE---“THE END of an ON-AIR Era”

You and I both pride ourselves in knowing how to tell a story---and my story about you---is pretty simple---you have what it takes to discover the story, research the story---and write it so very well. You have always been so good at that…but I never in my wildest imagination thought my Retirement date  with coincide as part of October 31st and Trick or Treat. And yes as I looked back---1964 was my first broadcast gig---and it was at the University of IOWA---KWAD—the inter-dormitory voice –where I did my show---and play by play in football and basketball. That is a 60 year Career!!!

I really liked what you told me last Friday---that I easily do the work of reporter, host and producer putting togethers hours of local radio each week.

So as I look at you---you deserve to be here with us on the Friday’s telling your headlines for the week. And you know how to break a story. I even told you---after Trick or Treat comes and goes---I may need to just keep my hands and mind working with you on some stories----always thought that would be interesting for those you reach.

So what can I answer for you after you had some time to think after writing the story that was dated October 25th.

-------------------Jodi-------------------------------

   Question

-------------------Bill/Jodi conversation----------------

Jodi----I know our audience like me appreciate the way you find a story, tell it----and follow-it-up. Please keep doing that----

What else should we know has happened this week---

-------------------Jodi-----------------------

I have to tell you-----Jodi---wish I would have had a few more with your saavy, grit and determination that I was training thru the years---you are among the very best I have worked with---and please—continue to push and keep the readers and listeners in mind---it is a class act…

--------------------Jodi-----------------------

The real challenge I have is that there are a lot of opportunities out there and they are still asking---if I would be interested---at 80---I’m not sure----but I know my Carolyn wants to travel and we need to do that too…

Thanks for being a credit to our show—Jodi’s Journal---and someone our audience knows they can trust----

       Let’s talk soon----

We have a number of guests wanting to join us this morning—and we start with the Lt. Governor---who asked to be early in the show. But like he always seems to do we choose him second not as the lead dog in the governor’s mansion  but Lt Governor Tony Venhuizen---
