Blog-October 2, 2024—10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business
Congressman Dusty Johnson launched our show as he does a little traveling while home from Washington in Aberdeen. Thursday he will host his Level Up Youth Conference for 265 area high school students and Dusty will tour Agtegra.
We talked about the Farm Bill----kind of requests he is getting from his area family---and what he sees ahead.
Right behind his was Tyler Torkeson---Sioux Metro Alliance. Beresford has gotten back in the fold---and Tyler was headed for Caton today---to help them celebrate the growth.
If there is anything we can do to promote our communities—we step up and help. We did that cheering early in this show.
Joe Kirby has asked our Midwest Stations to talk about “H”. He was a part of my show—as we talked about the Mayors who were saying one thing---while those that are Democrats that are saying something different. Yes there were enough of the new types paying attention to the Mayors---even some from neighboring states—which made no sense. As Kirby was telling it 150,000 or so cant vote in the primary because of the one party system. My job is never to take sides---reporters that are pure----at least in their minds—try to be even-handed and less about themselves. Others have a job to take political positions based on parties. Both have their place.
We talked with Plains Commerce Bank---yes they are sponsors but they are Planners for those in agriculture, in business, you and old alike---and we enjoy our relationship with Nolan, Brent, and Gary Popke too.
Sarah Heinrich—KFGO shares the Growing Harvest Network in Fargo on the half hour. Matt Swenson—had the morning commodities-----the grain-the meat—the energy and the Big Board on Wall Street.
Bryson Patterson—SBA of South Dakota made one of his stops he makes each week—the guest with him Michael Danielson—Vets Business Outreach Center of the Dakotas. What Bryson brings to the table---is good advise for our diverse listening audience.
We talked this morning with Barb Rave—Rushmore Mitigation—about Radon---yes the invisible but impactful stuff that affects your health.
She shared four reasons or so on Rushmore Radon Mitigation----and a key—don’t let radon compromise your well-being—take control of your indoor air quality---and she shared the west has more Radon problems in general than the east.
We brought in Iowa State Climatologist Justin Glisin—he used a little of the Farmers Almanac and yes all the scientific tools that tells us what we might expect in the months ahead as we march slowly thru fall into winter. Justin and South Dakota’s Laura Edwards don’t leave us weather-less---they share what they know and what we can expect.
Listen live to the show at 1320-105.1-107.9---the KELO App---streaming on line or just ask Alexa. Norm Anderson posts the show podcast---my job is share a blog—with some of those doing the show—and the audience that can figure out what is in the show.
