Blog---October 10, 2025—9-10—It’s YOUR Business

Congressman Dusty Johnson started out our It’s YOUR Business Friday show---as we talked about what he was seeing in DC, what his constituents were asking him in these interesting times in our country.

The Congressman and I have been visiting for a long time in this case---as we were approaching show 5,000---it looked like it was going to be in our Friday 9-10 or 10-11. Number 5,000 will actually be 9-10 on Monday October 13th.

But it gave us a chance him to reflect on what he saw as important for our audience—with all the disagreements---the up’s and down’s and who is being paid and who won’t be.

The times have had a tangled web that was weaved and so many are worried about the medical insurance, even officials not being paid---that nothing seems certain in this day and time.

Dusty is always welcome to talk what he sees—kind of basic questions he is being asked---and as South Dakota’s only Congressman—he has a lot of different sides of a coin.

The Congressman will be part of show 5,000 Monday—and it will include an interesting forum with home builders, realtors, bankers, merchants, and even more.

Next up---Jodi Schwan---Sioux Falls Business---she does such a great job with her communications—she is a good reporter, knows how to do business –one of the best journalist I’ve been around in both television and radio. Sioux Falls should be proud of what she does—how she does—and her communication excellence.

Teri Schmidt---Experience Sioux Falls---talk to us the opening of the Pheasant Hunting season. This is the opening weekend—and beginning next weekend—those from around the country will be flying into Sioux Falls and the hunting includes more than just the locals. Teri has  been working with us for years---encouraging us always to make visitor feel welcome. If you do—they are happy while they are, and want to come back. It’s a big deal---and makes so much sense---we all need to do it.

Kip Rounds---Game Fish and Parks—is always in the same segment with Teri---and he shared what he knows—and the fact for those coming in from other locations the season opener is October 18th.

Brandon Hanson---Downtown Sioux Falls—shares each Friday the top 5 or so events being planned by merchants. He is smart as what he does---and the list could be longer than 5---but 5 makes you think about what else really is out there for you to discover.

Cat Clark---provided us with the events coming up still with the little white ball and golf clubs involved. Even though we are 10 days into October----people still have some warm days ahead. Cat took us thru the season---kind of events he has seen---and what he has seen in equipment that is pretty doggone important.

I only messed up a couple of football events—giving a review of the high schools, colleges, and even the pros. Busy time---and yes pick you team and go cheer.

Diana Patterson—Sanford Career Opportunities share her information on careers with Sanford. She does that each Friday in the 9-10 show—and many people learn what is available with her reports.

Our It’s YOUR Business show is available live 9-10 and 10-11 Weekdays with the exception of Thursday. We work with advertisers who want their message included. It’s a business—and we work with them to tell the story—and we are happy to help the listeners get what they need and the businesses to stay in business.

Listen live to the show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9---use the KELO App-streaming on line as well.

Norm Anderson posts the show as a podcast—my job is to schedule the guests—work with them—interview them ---and then write the blog—that tells you want is in the show and where. Questions for me—feel free to call/text at 605-728-Bill (2455) or email me at bill.zortman@mwcradio.com
