Blog-November 25, 2020—9-10---Working on Wellness Wednesday
It is a different day as we start this day before Thanksgiving in our Wellness Community. We knew behind the scenes things were different as some of those very important Sanford guests we have had in the last six weeks were “unavailable”. Our Wellness Show is always hear to share the facts ----but not today---not this month---but soon.
Two very important topics that we hit in our first two segments come from our friends as Avera.
The Open Enrollment time is upon us----and Jordan Anderson—VP of Sales Avera Health Plans will take us thru what is ---and what is expected to be.
We’ll talk about how you should choose that plan that’s best for you. High Deductible or High Premium?
Open Enrollment---what does it mean and what and who should be shopping for it?
Who can shop----what are some of the benefits or ways to ensure—you are getting the most out of your health insurance?
Deadline is?
We’ll answer all of that in more at 9:07.
917---we’ll visit with Dr. Michael Elliott—Chief Medical Officer at Avera McKennan. In the midst of the Pandemic that has escalated over the past few weeks---what should we know? Who should spend time on this Thanksgiving Weekend with family, friends, or even people you don’t know?
Yes the question of wearing a mask. The question that has been bounced around---if I have had COVID 19---should I still wear a mask ----and why?
A good solid ---ask the questions---answer the question session that you can learn from in a dangerous---if unprotected weekend.
9:32---Dr. Max Reinecke---Reinecke Chiropractic—we’ll talk about the Dakota Angler Ice Institute---yes Dr. Max was in a booth---for free consultations---we’ll check what they asked and what he said.
There is new subluxation research-----Dr. Max will share what it is ----and what we should know about it.
In essence---how does the chiropractic adjustment that Reinecke Chiropractic uses---changes with this process.
And basic directions---instead of suffering Dr. Max says see him and his team for a free consultation.
9:45----we do an interesting follow-up to our visit with Dr. Tim Ridgway---Vice President of USD for Health Affairs. In our interview we talked about his nursing instructions there—and how the COVID 19 scenario has been a stimulus for students there. This morning---we’ll visit with Kristin Posssehl—Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for Healthcare programs and Jaclyn Kramer—Associate Dean---
Southeast Tech’s Nursing Degree Program---with their associate degree has been voted #1 in the Plains Region.
Our Southeast Tech leaders will share what this means----if COVID 19---with the vast need for nurses---has given quite the boost to their program.
Nurses are people---they are moved to help patients----we’ll see what stories Kristin and Jaclyn have about their nursing students---and perhaps create some ideas in those that are looking for a career that is challenging and has an important demand this year and beyond.
Our It’s YOUR Business Show---particularly the Working on Wellness Wednesday version does talk health care----and hopefully provide important information for our listeners.
We want to do our part of work on wellness each Wednesday.
The show can be heard live at 1320, 105.1, 107.9---use the KELO App---Streaming on Line---or just ask Alexa.
In addition to the show being available live----NORM ANDERSON—posts the show as a PODCAST ---same day it runs ---on the KELO-AM Website. Go to the website and look for PODCAST---It’s YOUR Business---and this case the November 25, 2020—9-10—It’s YOUR Business Show.
