Blog-November 15, 2024-9-10—It’s YOUR Business
Our It’s YOUR Business Show---smack dab in the middle of November—covers a lot of ground.
Jodi Schwan---Sioux Falls Business---is really a GOOD NAME Dropper.
Schwan’s Breaks Ground for Massive Sioux Falls Project—but it set for 2027---as a kid Schwan’s was a Minnesota Company that delivered 3 or was it 5 gallon pails of great ice cream to our home in Iowa.
Artificial Intelligence-Estate Planning—is blending tech with human expertise.
Harrisburg bowling site has ax throwing and a lot more---who would have thought?
Great Shots reopens with new games and expanded menu.
And yes you can count on Jodi having other breaking news stuff.

Jessie Schmidt---BBB of South Dakota--- yes another list of Email compromises to watch out for.
Business email compromise fraud is an email phishing scam that typically targets people who pay bills in businesses, government and nonprofit organizations.
Often the scammer poses as a vendor who emails an employee and asks them to wire money, buy gift cards or send person information. The money goes into an account controlled by the con-artist OF COURSE.
There is a holiday twist—scammers may impersonate “the boss” and email workers to buy gift cards for a holiday party or donate to a cause.
THE SMART SOLUTION? Check all email addresses and verify the email with the alleged sender. DON’T CLICK on links if you are not sure.
Jessie also talks about PHONY INVOICES, DIRECTORY SCAMS, STOLEN IDENTITY, Fake Charity Pitches, Phishing Scams, Office Supply Scams, Coupon Books, Vanity Award Scams, Overpayment scams, Voicemail hacking scams, Fake AI Services.

Teri Schmidt—EXPERIENCE Sioux Falls ---she is heading to the National Tour Association Travel Show-she explains what she expects---and good news the zoo butterfly house coming together—and you can bet it WILL BE GOOD for SIOUX FALLS.

Kip Rounds—SD Game Fish and Parks—updates the hunting seasons. The West River Deer Season opens Saturday and the East River Deer Season opens on the 23rd. Pheasant hunting reports share strong success and really should only continue to improve as the weather gets colder next week and we get some snow on the ground.

Each year Mike Costanzo tells us about the indoor show season for hunters. This weekend’s Dakota Territory Gun Show is the seasonal opportunity to buy, sell, or trade guns and gear for any other shooting sports. Shotguns, rifles, hand guns, ammo, and gear will be available on over 300 vendor tables. As a non-profit organization the Dakota Territory also contributes a portion of the proceeds from the show to youth hunting programs. The show is Saturday and Sunday—it is at the WH Lyons Fairgrounds---9-5 Saturday and 9-3 Sunday—admission is $10.

John Gaskins and Jim Ohlander do a little sports sorting for us. State Football playoffs continue today and tomorrow at USD Campus----the Dakota Dome played last night—tonight and Saturday.
Augustana-USF game was one of the ages---meanwhile—SDSU beat up UND last week—the Coyotes head to Grand Forks this week----
The Vikings are 7-2—if they lose Sunday night—it won’t be a good weekend.
Jimmy Ohlander his notes are a big deal too:
Stampede have won two straight games
Home and home series with Omaha beginning tonight (Friday)
Saturday is Military Appreciation Night, Jim fill us in on all that you have going on for this special night
Since we won’t be back on until after December we can also touch on our next home series after this weekend that will be Thanksgiving weekend and include a special Black Friday game with a 3:05 PM face-off.

We close the show with Diana Patterson—Sanford Career Opportunities---
Our It’s Your Business Show—provides information from businesses and organizations that keep us informed and entertained---
Listen live to the show at 1320-105.1, 107.9—use the KELO App—Streaming on line or just ask Alexa---
Norm Anderson will post the show on the website---use these notes as a guide to what is in the show and where to find them.
