   Our It’s YOUR Business Report Card Show---shared the latest figures for the first four months of 20-24---with Real Estate---Home Builders---Bankers---and yes those folks like Intek and Extreme Heating and Cooling that make such a difference when its time to sell the home.

   Leading the start –Tony Bachman—Real Estate Agent—Coldwell Banker who keeps us going each year…

   As we looked at the numbers Tony was able to give us the trending that was going on as we closed April---started May and the Parade of Homes begins two weekends---this weekend and next.

   With interest rates bouncing all over the place---we were able to show there some good trends----if you are buying or selling. New residential was up from the first four months a year ago----with $53.1 million sold in 2024 $34.6 in 2023. Remodeling was hired than last year---at $4.8 million for remodeling compared to $21.7 last year. But multiple family units which were 891 in 2023 from January to April was at 388 this year. 
    Tony says the interest is out there—they are seeing for all price levels in the marketplace. And they are looking ahead to the Parade of Homes---the 63rd Annual that begins over the next two weekends----
     Teddi Mueller—Executive Director—of the Home Builders Association shared that 70 homes will be viewed with 1-5 on Saturday and Sunday---May 11-12 and 18-19. 45 builders are involved and includes Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, Baltic and even Wentworth. 
      The purpose of the Parade of Homes offers the public an opportunity to witness—yes firsthand—the latest trends in the building industry and engage directly with building professions. 
      Again this year—two Feature Homes on the Fall Parade require a $5 admission fee per home—the fee supports the Home Builders Care Foundation which serves as a community connection point and drives opportunities in the building industry. Locations are 5604 E Chandler Drive—with Hjelling Construction and 2722 S Oriya Place---Krumvieda Companies.
    We talked with two companies that answer house calls on fixing up or repairing—which ever comes first----Intek and Extreme Heating and Cooling. We pay attention to this—because home owners need a history posted in their phones for the time when they are trying to sell and the documents provide a record of what was done to the house and when.
    Our Report Card Show—follows the trends of the real estate and home building industry each month. We appreciate the leaders that join us----including Dave Kelly---who with Brent Adney out this month----reported on some Grants for Graduates programming. Interesting on what is being done—the opportunities for fees that don’t have to be paid back----and what the limits are. Dave Kelly at Fareway Mortgage----can answer specifically if you could be included---and what the guidelines are. 
    The Report Card Show-is just one of two housing shows we include—the other will be on the 13th this month---(next Monday)----the Remodelers Show. It provides leadership yesterday-today-and tomorrow---that can answer questions what is happening here---expected tomorrow----and is a nice balance of professionals coming together to keep us posted.
