Blog—May 25, 2021—9-10—The Leader of the Band-Biz Show

Once a month---usually on the 3rd Tuesday of the month—Scott Lawrence brings his know how---his expertise---people he knows to our It’s YOUR Business Show.

This month it is the 4th Tuesday---but the list of guests is unique---story-lines that are important to you----and with the work of the Leader of the Band (Scott) and the Maestro (me) ---it is a free wheeling, story telling hour to remember.

James (Jim) Hagen---South Dakota Secretary of Tourism leads the program.

Why not? We’ll talk about who the first 5 months for tourism started in South Dakota----I’m sure Deadwood will be in the mix, Sturgis, Fairs, and those we hope to bring to our State the rest of the year.

We know conventions are starting to commit---and it looks like the weather will contribute to quite the rebound following 2020—the beginning of COVID.

9:16----Dave Rozenboom---shares his passion and his insights with Forward Sioux Falls. It comes in a week that the $160 million Cherapa Place Story hit the media to the cheers of those in the area.

What about Forward Sioux Falls---we’ll find out how it started---what it is doing today—and the outlook for the future.

9:32----Mr. Jackrabbit----the man with a football stadium that carries his name---Dana Dykhouse –shares the Championship Experience for SDSU. It took this team for the first time to the National Championship Game---at Frisco, Texas---where the title game is actually played on a soccer field.

The Jacks after losing their Quarterback—the #1 player in the Valley—early in the game—somehow stayed close enough to nearly steal the trophy from Sam Houston State—playing in their home state of Texas.

For Mr. Dykhouse—the Jack’s run---came at the same time they were moving into their new digs that splash the skyline of Sioux Falls—First Premier. It came at a time they were entertaining at Sutton Bay---and Dana kept answering questions for our It’s YOUR Business Show—about what to expect---what’s next---and is this the beginning of a new level of expectations for the Jacks?

We’ll talk about all that—his thoughts---his hopes and what he sees for the Stadium in 40 years---one thing he still  wants is a National Championship Banner.

9:43----It’s a Scott Lawrence Story Time---we’ll talk with Greta Stewart and TJ Grandcolas---who are moving their company---Reid Metal Finishing from California to the Black Hills. Scott knows why –but he wants all of us to know why so—Greta will be in studio—and TJ will call in-----

It is another remarkable story about those in other parts of the country are circling their wagons and leading a modern Wagon Train to our State. Should be interesting---and answer some questions---why South Dakota—and was is the attraction.

Last segment of the show will talk about the Tru Shrimp Event at the District Tonight. The Tru Shrimp Saga is moving closer to reality—and with Michael Ziebell and Scott Lawrence—and all the players—it is something we follow with open mouth and open ears.
