Blog-March 2, 2022—9-10---Working on Wellness Wednesday
Wellness best interests take time---but when we talk about the Helmsley Charitable Trust providing help to the Dakotas—Iowa- Nebraska and a couple of states to our West---and things are happening---we go back to revisit.
This morning Walter Panzierer---Leona Helmsley’s Grandson talks to us about the $34 million purchase they made for 13, 100 defibrillators for first responders and law enforcement officers.
How is that going---the numbers are still incredible---using Wi-Fi Connectivity—these self-monitoring devices can report their status to a centralized online data repository—the information collected allows state health departments to improve response to cardiac arrest and demonstrate how swift law enforcement response gives patients a better chance of survival.
When Avera pitched here for 3 floors ---Helmsley said what about 4. That is the backdrop we are talking about—and will share this morning
Thru January 1st of this year—AED’s were deployed 1226 times with 946 cases leading to CPR and 212 of the deployments resulting in the delivery of at least one shock.
More news is coming—and Mr. Panzierer will help us better understand.
9:21---Dr. Max Reinecke—Reinecke Chiropractic joins us in the first and final Wednesday of the month.
We’ll talk about their attention to detail—and insatiable desire to learn more and to perfect their methods.
Having a multiple disciplinary approach within the chiropractic and manual means:
- Soft tissue diagnosis
- Extremity adjusting
- ARP therapy
- Organ involvement
- Toxicity issues
- Acupuncture---
All to stay on the cutting edge of what there is to relieve pain and restore function without surgery or drugs.
9:34----we had a first in our 6 to 8 years of sharing the stories of the Greater Sioux Falls Leadership Class. The medical members---that we visited with –one from Sanford and one from Avera gave us a model –of how with the Leadership Class—now 3 dozen years old---all for one –one for all in the class works. Juliann Stolle—Avera and Rachel Wagemann-Sanford were impressive. So much ---we pulled together much of what they said---and it provides a model for us---whether it be working together in medicine---banking—or pick a field----it’s what our show tries to do—work together—share together-plan together for the future.
We close the hour with Wendy Dooley—the Help Line. Even the President’s State of the Union Address last night talked about stress---finding ways to work together---and even though it’s not COVID---it can take a lot of lives—if we don’t address it. We work with Wendy and others to do this every chance we get---and this seems like a good day to do it. It would have been my dad’s 102nd birthday---he lost him 6 years ago. He was stressed with 6 kids including me---but we still look for ways to say thanks DAD!!
Our It’s YOUR Business—Working on Wellness Wednesday show—is personal. We cover a lot of medical topics—today we did the same—with the help of two leaders –one from Sanford and one from Avera.
