Blog---June 9, 2025---9-10---The Report Card Show

Two Monday’s each month are reserved for updates from the Real Estate Leaders, the Home Builders, the Bankers-Lenders, for us to share the numbers for home sales, commercial real estate and repairs ---all those in the show---have reactions to what is part of all it takes to buy-sell and build.

One is the Report Card Show—the other is the Remodelers---and we bring together 8 maybe 12 guests sharing what they see and expect.

It’s something we have done for a long period of time 10+ years---and the listeners know they will get a read on what the pro-s are seeing and doing.

Tony Bachman helps us assemble what he is collecting on the local, the regional and national trends. And at a time that financials and fears are out there----this assembly of leaders answer questions that it has been proven that people want answers too. They then can make up their own minds as to what they should do with their housing –what lending institution should they deal with and the workmanship of those engaged has been remarkable.

Yes I worked real estate for a number of year while I was still broadcasting tv and radio show. It’s not my answers that count it’s the scattered sons and daughter in the industry are doing they business.

   Among the headlines included:

Pending Sales saw a significant increase of 68.7% a month over month—reaching 825 offers acceptedFor the year-to-date pending sales are up 38.1% to 2,128.Days on market until sale increased by 9.5% to an average of 92 daysThe overall Median Sales Price rose by 0.8% from $330,000 to $332,800Year to date the median sales price is up 1.6% to $320,000Inventory of Homes for Sale decreased by 16.1% to 1,626 propertiesMonthly Supply of inventor decreased by 25.9% to 4 months.

Total value of permits thru the end of May $639,732,123—compared to $394,387,798 in 2024.

Among those in the show---Larissa Luther—In Realty Group, Cory Hjellming, Neil King---Building Permits, Dave and Kelly Kelly—working the fundings in different directions, but they are able to answer questions from the panel and that the audience are thinking about as they decide what to do, when to do it, and the terms.

Todd Boots—works the Building side—and at one time was President of the South Dakota Home Builders Association, Joe Hansen—answered questions about Extreme Heating and Cooling, and Jerry Berg talk to us about what he is seeing—including moving to a new location---and doing Intek business inside Sioux Falls and outside it.

The market place was explored not only in this show but also in the surrounding area---for the first two Mondays in June. Questions were designed to get information to the listeners—who hears so many talking about it—but doesn’t have a dozen guests talking about it in this show—and the companion show each month.

Listen live to the show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9---use the KELO App-streaming on line or just ask Alexa. Norm Anderson posts the show as a PODCAST –my job is to schedule the guests, and the experts, ask some questions---and give those that listen quite the hour twice a month.
